Google rolls out one shopping cart for many stores
Google began rolling out Universal Cart to US users on 15 October, letting shoppers save products from several retailers in one cart. It works across the Gemini app and Search's AI Mode, and Google says it will flag price drops, restocks and relevant promo codes. Buyers can pay through Google Wallet, which can suggest the card with the best perks, or move items to the retailer's own checkout. Gmail and YouTube support is planned with no timeline, and Google hasn't announced an Australian launch.
Why it matters: If you sell online, shoppers using a tool like this get alerts when your prices drop or stock returns. That makes accurate pricing and stock data more important if it reaches Australia.
